About Harry Payne
I didn’t get into coaching to count reps or shout motivation.
I got into it because I care about bodies, how they move, how they break down, and how they can be rebuilt properly when they’re trained with intelligence and respect.
I’ve been training for over 15 years. That includes bodybuilding, strength phases, fat-loss phases, setbacks, injuries, plateaus, and moments where progress felt slow and uncomfortable. None of that came from theory, it came from lived experience.
That experience shapes everything I do as a coach.
A Coach Who Respects the Body
One thing I’ve learned very early on is this: not all bodies are built the same, and they don’t move the same either.
Two people can look similar and function completely differently. Their joint structure, muscle balance, movement patterns, and history all matter. Ignoring that is where most people get injured or stuck.
Before I think about sets or reps, I watch how someone moves. How they brace.
How they hinge.
How they load joints.
Where they compensate.
I adapt training to the individual. I don’t force people into systems that don’t suit them.
That’s what real personal training is.
Safety, Honesty, and Duty of Care
Safety always comes first, whether you’re a beginner or highly experienced.
I won’t give a client a movement, method, or style I haven’t personally used or successfully applied. I won’t experiment on your body because something is fashionable online. And I won’t sell you unrealistic timelines just to keep you interested.
If someone asks me for abs in two weeks, I’ll tell them the truth.
Real results take time. Consistency. Effort.
That honesty is part of my duty of care. Clients deserve clarity, not hype.
Teaching, Not Dependency
My job isn’t to make clients rely on me forever.
It’s to teach.
I want you to understand why you’re training the way you are. What’s happening in your body.
Where your strengths are. Where your weak points are. How to train smarter over time.
If you eventually move on and train independently, you should leave with confidence and knowledge, not confusion.
That matters to me.
Leading From the Front
Clients have off days. Motivation dips. Life gets in the way.
That’s normal.
What matters is discipline, and that starts with me.
If I expect focus, effort, and consistency from my clients, I bring it myself. I lead by example. I show up prepared, disciplined, and present. If I can’t hold myself accountable, I have no right asking someone else to.
Even on difficult days, my aim is simple:
you leave the gym feeling better than when you walked in, even if it’s only 10%.
Small wins add up. Always have.
Who I Work Best With
I work best with people who value honesty, trust the process, and are willing to listen and learn.
That doesn’t mean you have to be advanced. It means you’re open, committed, and prepared to do things properly.
If you give me 100%, I’ll give you more.
Seeing clients improve, physically, mentally, and in how they understand their body, is still the part of this job I enjoy most.

Why People Choose to Work With Me
People work with me because they want more than a workout.
